Crypto's gamified future: How Wow Earn is onboarding the masses
The app combines mining, quests, and blockchain knowledge to reward users with tokens

For many beginners, navigating the decentralized world of web3 can feel like learning a new language. But what if you could earn crypto while gaining practical knowledge? Enter Wow Earn, a mobile app designed to make web3 accessible to everyone, according to its Chief Strategy Officer, Fabian Michael.
"Wow Earn is a mobile app available in iOS and Android marketplaces that converts user attention, user time, into rewards," Michael told The Crypto Radio at Bitcoin MENA in Abu Dhabi.
The reward? Wow Coin, a cryptocurrency that users can later exchange for fiat, Bitcoin, or other digital assets.
How Wow Earn works
The app features a "mining module based on the proof of engagement," where users are paid for their time and attention. "You give me your time, I show you some practical learning experience from web3, and I will pay you for that," said Michael.
Beyond the mining module, Wow Earn expands its functionality with gamified learning activities designed to deepen user engagement. These activities, called educational quests, include tasks like answering simple questions, exploring new crypto projects, and learning about blockchain basics to earn their rewards.
Michael likened the experience to the popular language-learning app Duolingo, where users progress through levels by completing tasks. "When you go on my app, and you go to the mining module, all you do is a daily check-in and the mining already begins," he explained.
"The user mines about 0.4 or 0.45 Wow Coin per hour. So it's perpetual, but if you want to earn more, you can engage with the quests."
Users also seem to appreciate the real-world gains, with some like Chigbo Godfrey leaving glowing reviews on X.

Prioritizing safety and transparency
While earning rewards is central to Wow Earn, Michael stressed that ensuring user safety is equally important in a space often plagued by scams.
To ensure a safe and transparent experience, Wow Earn only works with web3 projects that meet strict compliance criteria. "We bet on transparency, due diligence, and back check each and every one of our 40 members, and we are proud of that," Michael said.
These criteria include using audited smart contracts, which are blockchain programs reviewed for errors.
Michael emphasized the importance of educating users about web3 and cryptocurrency to prevent scams. "Truth be told, with the number of scams in Bitcoin cycle 2020-2021, and also the number of rug pulls currently happening in the so called memecoin scene. I will always advocate for obtaining certain level of knowledge prior to engaging to web3," he said.
Gaming and the circular crypto economy
Beyond protecting users, Wow Earn is also tapping into one of web3’s most promising use cases: gaming and its potential to create a circular crypto economy. "Think about playing their favorite games, right? Collecting some rare items and getting a little bit more out of it, right? Yep, you would like to take this asset, call it yours, move it to a secondary market, and resell it to another user, right?" he asked.
This idea of gamers being able to earn, own, and trade digital assets across different games and platforms is an enticing prospect to many, and one that Michael believes could help drive mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency. "In order to bring new crypto projects together, creating a circular economy among them is probably a little bit easier than Bitcoin becoming a legal tender in a global financial system," he said.
With its focus on education, security, and gamification, Wow Earn is positioning itself as a bridge between the complex world of cryptocurrency and the everyday user. If Michael’s vision takes hold, web3’s future may not only be more accessible but also a lot more fun.
