From commando to CEO to crypto bro
Cyrus Rustom has gone all-in crypto and has 95% of his assets in Bitcoin

Cyrus Rustom is an accomplished entrepreneur, coach, Bitcoiner, and speaker known for his powerful journey from an Elite Royal Marines Commando to a multi-million-dollar CEO. He can now add crypto bro to this list. Or rather Bitcoin bro.
Rustom has taken an uncompromising stance when it comes to his digital asset portfolio—he's gone all-in on Bitcoin. "I now invest in Bitcoin. I wouldn't say I was a Bitcoin Maxi, but I am an advocate of Bitcoin, and I have 95% of my net worth in Bitcoin," Rustom explained during our interview at The Crypto Radio studio.
It's a level of conviction that most investors can scarcely fathom. But for Rustom, his deep dive into the world's largest cryptocurrency was the result of a methodical, research-driven process that completely transformed his financial outlook.
Rustom first heard about Bitcoin around four years ago from a wealthy mentor who dismissed it as a "scam." However, another respected contact urged him to at least "put a little bit in, just in case." This second opinion sparked Rustom's curiosity, and he embarked on an intensive self-education journey.
Self-taught in Satoshi
"I spent two, three hours a day, either listening to a podcast, watching a YouTube video, just reading a book, consuming all this information about Bitcoin," he recalled. "I don't know why I did it. I think to go a little bit deeper. I mean, I had a target of money that I wanted to make, and I knew what I was doing at the time was never going to get me there."
As Rustom delved deeper into Bitcoin's fundamentals, a profound realization took hold. "It's just inevitable that you come to the conclusion that the best place to park your money is in Bitcoin," he said. With that conviction, Rustom began funneling his savings, proceeds from property sales, and even half the equity from his business into the leading cryptocurrency.
Of course, Rustom's all-in approach was not without its challenges. He vividly remembers the gut-wrenching experience of watching his Bitcoin holdings plummet in value from around $68,000 to just $16,000 in a matter of months. "Your natural emotion as a human when you see 750,000 dirhams go to, I don't know, 150,000-200,000 dirhams in a matter of months. You feel bad, right? That's not a good feeling."
A vision of Bitcoin’s million-dollar future
However, Rustom's' deep understanding of Bitcoin's long-term potential helped him weather the storm. "When you understand what it is, you can stomach the volatility, because you just see the negative days as an opportunity to buy more," he explained. This unwavering belief in Bitcoin's future is a central tenet of Rustom's investment philosophy.
He firmly believes that Bitcoin is still in its early stages, with massive growth potential over the next 8-12 years. "Bitcoin in 10 years, when it's over a million, you're going to look back and say what an idiot I was for selling my bitcoin at $100,000, right? Because it's going to be a million or more."
Rustom's conviction stems from his deep understanding of Bitcoin's scarcity. "There is 65 million millionaires in the world, not billionaires, millionaires. So if all of the millionaires on planet Earth said, I want one of these Bitcoins, it can't happen. There isn't enough." He compares Bitcoin's limited supply to the pricing dynamics of luxury watches, where scarcity drives exponential value growth.
While Rustom is bullish on Bitcoin's long-term trajectory, he takes a more cautious approach when it comes to advising others. "I'm not going to tell you to put your money in. I don't care what you do with your money. It's none of my business. But this is what helped me. I went through these pieces of content and I learned about it, and that's what I did, and I just direct them that way."
The contrast between Rustom's own all-in approach and the advice he gives to others highlights an important distinction. "The wealthiest people I know, are all in Bitcoin, right? Already. That tells you one thing, they're already in Bitcoin.” Here endeth the lesson.
