Shiba Inu’s tech to power UAE public services
The country is using web3 to improve infrastructure and digital connectivity

Shiba Inu, the memecoin that started as a Dogecoin rival, just secured a government partnership.
The UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has teamed up with Shiba Inu’s web3 ecosystem to modernize public services, energy, and infrastructure.
But before you picture government officials trading dog-themed tokens, this isn’t about the coin—it’s about the tech. Shiba Inu’s blockchain-powered system, ShibOS, will help unify operations, boost efficiency, and bring next-gen digital tools to key sectors.
Eng. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, called the partnership a "pivotal moment" in the UAE’s digital transformation. “By embracing emerging technologies, we aim to set a global benchmark for innovation, delivering transformative solutions that benefit both our citizens and the wider community,” he said.
Shytoshi Kusama, the elusive lead behind Shiba Inu, added: “We’re thrilled the Ministry sees Shiba Inu as a cornerstone for next-generation infrastructure.” He described the deal as a step toward reshaping how governments, businesses, and citizens interact in a more transparent, eco-friendly digital framework.
The UAE has long positioned itself as a leader in tech and digital innovation, embracing everything from AI to crypto. Partnering with Shiba Inu signals a growing shift toward blockchain-powered governance—one that could inspire similar moves worldwide.
So, while Shiba Inu may still be best known for its meme roots, this deal shows that its technology is being taken seriously. And in the world of crypto, that might just be the strangest plot twist of all.
