Unlimited cruises, now payable in Bitcoin
The new Annual Pass from Virgin Voyages offers more ways to travel and pay

Virgin Voyages is making history in 2025 with its new Annual Pass program, becoming the first cruise line to accept Bitcoin payments—a step forward in making cryptocurrency part of everyday travel.
Passholders can enjoy unlimited cruises for a year for a flat rate of $120,000, plus travel taxes per trip. They also receive exclusive perks, including access to special events, $100 bar tab credit on every trip, and the option to bring a “plus one” along on each voyage.
Virgin Group founder Richard Branson described the program as a groundbreaking step for the industry. “Now, sailors can jump aboard any of our ships, across an endless variety of exciting destinations for an entire year. We're offering unlimited opportunities for adventure in a way that has never been done in cruising before.”
The introduction of Bitcoin as a payment method makes this program even more groundbreaking—marking a bold step towards embracing digital currencies. Though it remains to be seen whether Virgin Voyages will broaden its crypto options, the move signals an exciting shift in the future of digital payments.

Cryptocurrency adoption across industries
Virgin Voyages isn’t the only company embracing crypto. Across industries, major players have begun accepting digital currencies, signaling a broader shift in how businesses approach payments.
Tech conglomerate Microsoft and live streaming platform Twitch both accept crypto payments through BitPay. Users have the option to top up their accounts and pay using BTC, USDC, ETH, BCH, and other cryptocurrencies.
Tesla briefly accepted Bitcoin payments in 2021 before halting them due to environmental concerns. However, with the company holding over 11,000 BTC, many speculate that Bitcoin payments could make a comeback in the future.
Fast-food chains like Burger King have also joined the movement. In Venezuela, select locations now accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, and Binance Coin through their partnership with Cryptobuyer.
As more companies incorporate cryptocurrency into their payment systems, this trend may soon redefine how transactions are conducted across industries, from travel to technology and beyond.
