We don’t believe in charts and drawing funny lines – it doesn’t work

Guruprasad Venkatesha is a man who doesn’t mince his words. He says exactly what he thinks.

Venkatesha is the co-founder and CEO of b-cube.ai, an AI-driven platform that he says empowers crypto traders to win in any market conditions. “We don't do this technical analysis, drawing the charts, and drawing all those funny lines.

"We don't do that because we don't believe in that, because it doesn't work,” he told The Crypto Radio in an interview.

Venkatesha argues that technical analysis is overused and ineffective. “If something is available to everybody, then the value of it is very low,” he said. He dismisses tools like Bollinger bands and the relative strength index as variations of the same mathematical approach. “Basically all these technical indicators, mathematically speaking, are the same. They're not different.”

For him, crypto markets are too dynamic for these outdated methods: "Things are changing a lot, and nothing is constant." His perspective comes from years of experience, including his time as a trader at Morgan Stanley, where technical analysis wasn’t part of the toolkit.

To emphasize his point, Venkatesha brought up the recent 10% Bitcoin price drop. “When Bitcoin fell, everybody was surprised, and nobody had an answer to why. If we go purely from a scientific point of view, we were watching online data and there were many reasons why it fell down.”

Essentially, there are so many factors at play when an asset's price moves that the charts don't provide the answers. How could they?
